Suidooster
Suidooster Films was created in 2016 when Gambit Films and Homebrew Films partnered to create the first Cape Town-based Afrikaans soap opera for Kyknet, a local pay TV channel on DSTV. Filmed entirely at Atlantic Studios in Cape Town, Suidooster has rapidly become a landmark in the South African television landscape, garnering numerous SAFTA awards for its diverse cast and powerful, emotive storytelling
Suidooster is about the Ruiterbosch community– a community that experiences joys, sorrows, disputes, romances, revenges and retaliations, misunderstandings, and jealousies all in the course of their busy daily lives.
